By volunteering with Bolton Cares, you will bring value and connection to people’s lives and support them in realising their aspirations and potential.
Our commitment to empowering thriving people is a key pillar of our mission. We want to ensure that everyone we support is living the life they want and our volunteers are an invaluable resource in helping us achieve this.
They strengthen and build on our core hours of support and bring a wide variety of interests, talents and experiences to ensure we provide a personalised approach that considers all aspects of a person’s individuality and aspirations.
We also want to ensure that our volunteers’ lives are enriched by spending time with the people we support across Bolton, Wigan and Salford.
From working on our community projects, supporting activities within our Life Opportunities day services or supporting someone to access the community, volunteering is a great way to give back to your community, to enhance your social circle and to share your passions whilst learning from others.
We work closely with partner organisations to ensure we can offer easy to access, meaningful role profiles, and to support anyone new to volunteering to become volunteer-ready before they start.
We also routinely bring our volunteers together to express our gratitude, to offer connection with other volunteers and to create an opportunity for us to hear from their experiences, which, in turn, contribute to improvements in the way we do things.
