Who we are?
Bolton Cares Group is the biggest care provider in Bolton and we also work in Wigan and Salford. We provide high-quality, person-centred care and support for people with a range of diverse needs. Our passion is helping people to live independently and live the life they want their way www.boltoncares.org.uk
The challenge
Like all employers in the sector, we feel the pressure of recruiting into adult social care roles. Along with the people we support, our colleagues are the most important part of our business. To try and show the varied and rewarding roles a career in care can bring, we have taken a new approach and developed initiatives to recruit talent across Bolton, Salford and Wigan and it’s working well.
We have a range of vacancies from Support Workers, Team Leaders, to Registered Managers across our services.
Recruiting local talent
We are continuing with our localised ‘Do it for Bolton’ ‘Do it for Salford and ‘Do it for Wigan recruitment campaigns. Our focus is to recruit and develop local people into Support Worker roles. We are currently using the Made in Care national campaign to refresh our recruitment and help us reach a wider audience and the talent we need.
We are recruiting for Support Workers. Why not join us?
- We don’t need people who are experts, you just have to care.
- We will give you all the industry standard training and development you need to be the best you can be.
- You will be joining a supportive environment and working with some amazing people.
Angela Walker our Head of People said.
“Recruiting local talent is really important to us. Our teams gain in depth knowledge of people’s lives and their strengths and aspirations – and will experience first-hand the rewards of supporting people and engaging in meaningful activities with them. Importantly, our colleagues can learn through these experiences and carve a career within Bolton Cares. Many of those who join us have no previous knowledge of working within adult social care, but our fantastic induction programme and continuous learning and development opportunities help all of our staff become skilled practitioners.
We are pleased to join the national care campaign to spread the key positive messages about a career in care “
