We spent an amazing afternoon full of fun and laughter with our incredible Shared Lives Carers and colleagues yesterday. Networking, strengthening our roots for the future and celebrating this fantastic service and enjoying entertainment and magic tricks from Mark Daniel. Also some amazing prizes donated by isabellaloves.com
Our thumbprint tree captured the prints of all people involved, with lovely messages and thoughts on the lights tree. Including what brought people into shared lives, the joy in this role and the life changing impact on others’ lives.
Everyone had a great time and loved the delicious Shared Lives cake made specially for the day.
The day was celebrated during Shared Lives week. The annual flagship campaign which celebrates the best of Shared Lives and shows our gratitude for the amazing work of our Shared Lives carers.
Shared Lives is a unique service where individuals or families’ welcome adults into their homes and support them to live a fulfilling life.
The theme for 2024 was ‘We Are Shared Lives’ telling the stories of what it’s like to be a Shared Lives carer and busting some of the myths around working in social care.
