We were very proud to be finalists in the Technology category at the glittering Markel 3rd sector Care Awards.
The celebrations were held at the magnificent Grand Hotel in Birmingham on Friday 15 March. Actress and TV presenter Sally Lindsay, famous for a host of roles most notably in Coronation Street, The Royal Family and as a regular on Loose Women, presented the awards.
This award recognises and rewards our hard work and innovative approach to using technology to help the people we support to do more for themselves, retain their independence, communicate and interact more fully and get the most they can out of life.
At Bolton Cares Group our mission is to help people to live the life they want; their way and technology is helping us achieve this on a daily basis.
We have invested in several innovative initiatives to help the people we support. These include KOKU Keeping on Keeping Up where we combine health and exercise through use of an App, sensory rooms, Alexa technology and a new Care Recording System to streamline services and enrich lives.
We were runners up in a very popular and competitive category. This is a great achievement as this was the first time, we had entered the Markel awards.
Shawn our Personalised Technology Coordinator and Cath our Digital Marketing and Communication Lead had a fantastic day. We met some inspiring people and heard some heart-warming and moving stories from the worthy winners.
