Our new specialised Supported Living service for people with autism and or learning disabilities is now open.

Bolton Cares Group Managing Director, Rhian Stone joined Councillors and dignitaries  from Salford Council at its official opening in June this year.

This exciting £3.8 million scheme based at Highfield Road in Little Hulton, Salford will provide six supported homes in shared bungalows and two self-contained apartments.

The impressive, modern properties will combine bespoke care and support while retaining people’s independent lifestyle choices. Enabling them to live life to the full.

These new homes also mean that Salford people who had to be placed outside of the city for care and accommodation can now move back home again and be closer to their friends and family.

Jill Lockett, The Head of Service, leading on Highfield Road commented.

“We are delighted to have been asked by Salford Council to develop and manage this new, pioneering service at Highfield Road. Equally, we are proud to add it to our portfolio of services for Salford Cares.

Having recruited staff for the scheme, we are now actively supporting tenants to move into their new homes.”

The Highfield Road site was acquired from Salford City Council and the scheme has been funded through Homes England, Greater Manchester Combined Authority, Salford City Council and Great Places.
