As part of our campaign to recruit new Support Workers into our services across Bolton, Salford and Wigan Cares we have produced a new ‘Day in the Life’ of a Support Worker video.

The video takes a fresh, fun and novel approach, we thought, who best to quiz our Support Workers about what they do than the very people they support.

The film features four of our Support Workers Mark, Donna, Sam and Gary from across our Supported Living, learning disability and autism services. Each of them nominated a person they work closely with to ask them a question about being a support worker and then volunteered to be filmed answering their questions.

The people we support Chantelle, Anthony, Anne Marie and Darren were so excited to be involved in the filming and thinking up the questions. Take a look at the video here Job vacancies – Bolton Cares

Jackie Partington Tait our Operations Director said.

“Our new video aims to give people who may be new to care a glimpse into what it’s like to be a Support Worker with us. We feel the film gives a true insight into the valuable and varied role of a support worker.

It also lets people know that being a Support Worker makes a positive difference to people’s lives every day and that it can be a fun and rewarding career choice.

We hope the video will encourage people to want to join our fantastic teams and meet some of the amazing people we work with.”
