Last week the people we support who attend Life Opportunities Community services exhibited their amazing artwork at Horwich Library.
The artwork was created during the Stars and Stitches, Walk and Create project which receives National Lottery and Sport England funding.
Over the past few weeks, the people we support have been going for walks in nature and collecting items that have fallen to the ground like small branches, leaves and creating pieces of artwork with them when they return to the centre.
It was a fantastic evening for parents and carers and the people we support to see their artwork displayed for all the community to see. They were very proud and rightly so.
Thank you Bolton Library and Museum Services for all your support and for holding the event at Horwich Library.
Lica Marchant Head of Service for Life Opportunities said.
“This was an amazing project for the people we support to get involved with. Not only outside in the fresh air, but building relationships, finding hidden skills and creating a fabulous piece of work to display.
The exhibition at Horwich Library with parents and carers was a great success and everyone should be proud of their achievements. The artwork will be on display for a few more months for the community to see. Well done everyone.”
