Amanda recently completed her Level two Apprenticeship in Adult Health and Social Care at Bury College. She was also nominated by her tutor Janet Pegg for an Outstanding achievement award for receiving a distinction in her apprenticeship, which she won.

Amanda works as a Support Worker at The Hollies a specialist autism service in Bolton. She completed the course by attending Bury College one day a week while working full time at The Hollies.

On her achievements, Amanda said.

“This accomplishment is a significant milestone for me, it has been an unforgettable journey!

I am thankful to the team who selected me for the award and for motivating me to continue with my studies. It has resulted in my promotion and my being able to progress my career with Bolton Cares.”

Since receiving her qualification, Amanda has secured a promotion within her service and is now a Senior Support Worker at The Hollies.
