The Bolton Cares Supported Living service has received a ‘Good’ rating in its latest PAMMS assessment.
The Provider Assessment and Market Management Solution (PAMMS) is an online assessment tool used by local authorities to evaluate the quality of care provided by adult social care providers. While not directly connected to the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the PAMMS assessment reviews performance against numerous set standards, including the CQC’s current inspection requirements.
Following a review by the CQC in January 2023, a full and comprehensive improvement plan was implemented to address all areas for improvement identified on the report. Despite our requests for a reinspection, this hasn’t been possible and has disappointingly left the service with a ‘requires improvement’ rating for much longer than anticipated.
However, the latest rating from the PAMMS assessment is proof of the improvements made within Bolton Cares Supported Living.
Jillian Lockett, Head of the Supported Living service, said: “We’re incredibly proud of this achievement. Successfully securing ‘Good’ ratings in all 16 standards across the five care domains contained within the PAMMS process gives us confidence that our improvement plan is working and has embedded good quality support across our services.
“We’re confident that our leaders have the skills and knowledge needed to lead effective teams and that our staff members are engaged with the Bolton Cares THRIVE values, which support the delivery of outcomes for the people we support across Bolton. A huge well done to everyone involved.”
