After nearly 3 years’ in post, Bolton Cares today announced its Managing Director, Sanjeet Bains, will be leaving the company on 31st August 2023, having been successfully appointed to a new role working in the charity sector.

Chair of the Board, Dr Zulfi Hussain, expressed his sincere thanks to Sanjeet. “Sanjeet has made a significant contribution and impact as Bolton Cares’ MD over the past 3 years, he has provided strong leadership and vision through very difficult and challenging times for the care sector, including navigating the COVID19 pandemic and post-pandemic challenges. Sanjeet’s determination and focus on driving the success of Bolton Cares has seen us launch and deliver of our THRIVE vision including; securing a 10 year contract with Bolton Council, strengthening our partnerships, establishing our Wigan Cares sister company and driving numerous change and improvement initiatives” and “we sincerely wish him the very best for the future.”

Cllr Debbie Newall, Chair of the Bolton Cares Steering Committee, said the Council, alongside the Company Board will now commence recruitment for a new Managing Director. “We thank Sanjeet for his dedication, commitment and contribution to Bolton Cares for the past 3 years. In partnership with the Company Board, we will now be commencing the process to appoint a Managing Director to lead the company through the next phase of its journey as Bolton’s biggest care provider”.

Sanjeet Bains, said “I have been privileged to work with a great team at Bolton Cares, Bolton Council and partners. Together we have tackled many challenges and achieved a great deal since I initially took up post in September 2020.

It has been immensely rewarding to be Managing Director of an organisation whole-heartedly committed to delivering quality, caring and person-centred support to the communities of Bolton, Salford and Wigan.

I know the organisation will continue to go from strength-to-strength and truly be a place to THRIVE”
