5th October 2023
We are excited that our new Orange Dog Café at the Jubilee Centre will open its doors next Wednesday 11 October.
Having an on-site café is the next important step in getting the community involved and enjoying the facilities available at the Jubilee Centre.
The Orange Dog Café will be open every Wednesday between 10am and 2pm and will be run by students from Rumworth School.
Rumworth School is based in Bolton and is a specialised school for young people age 11 – 19 years with learning difficulties and additional needs.
The name of the café was chosen by the community and people we support.
Our menu will include a selection of hot and cold drinks, delicious sandwiches, soups, hot dishes and scrumptious cakes for everyone to enjoy.
Lica Marchant Head of Service said.
“Opening the Orange Dog community Café is an important milestone for the Jubilee Centre. The café will provide an important link and be a meeting point for the community to enjoy as well as somewhere the people we support can enjoy nutritious snacks and tasty treats.
The arrangement we have with Rumworth School to provide and prepare the food is a brilliant example of community partnership working. It will give students the opportunity to learn valuable new skills and gain experience of working within the community.”
Come along and enjoy a coffee and a cake with us.
