15th September 2022
Monday 19 September 2022 is the date of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II State Funeral and will be a national bank holiday.
The bank holiday will allow individuals, businesses and other organisations to pay their respects to Her Majesty and commemorate Her reign, while marking the final day of the period of national mourning.
As the nation pays its final respects to the Queen, our essential frontline services will continue to be delivered by our hardworking staff, as they are on a daily basis all year round to meet the needs of the people of Bolton.
Essential services are as follows:
Bolton
- Supported Living
- Outreach
- Extra Care
- Mental Health Services
- Crawford Street
- Shared Lives
Salford
- Supported Living
- Outreach
Wigan
- Supported Living
- Extra Care
However, some services will not operate as part of the company’s effort to mark the occasion and the contribution Her Majesty has made to the nation during her 70 years as monarch. This includes our Day Services, Jubilee Pool and services provided by our back-office staff.
We understand that the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II will impact everyone differently and many colleagues and the people we support will want to pay their respects. Across the services in Bolton, Wigan and Salford we will be supporting the people we support to watch the State Funeral together if they wish to.
We will be operating as normal from Tuesday 20 September 2022.
